Sky Garden Sculpture - Prism 24

Photo above entitled as "Prism 24", this art sculpture is another art display that can be found in Sky Garden at SM City North Edsa, another artistic creation of Joel Ferraris. Below is the excerpt from the artist blog

PRISM 24
Metal-reinforced fiberglass, airbrushed-painted with automotive lacquer paints, with colored acrylic sheets and internally illuminated by LED lights.

"Modern life, with the presence of highly advanced science and digital technology, simulates a prism. As manmade colors interplaying with natural hues and shades add beauty and vibrancy during the day, the unnatural pre-programmed neon and all artificial lights share with the moon’s borrowed light to illumine the eerily nocturnal darkness shrouded in mystery." JOEL EUGENIO E. FERRARIS, 2008

Big Gift Box

Photo above is part of my Sky Garden photo collection which shows the season which commonly being celebrated during the month of December. Snapshot captured last November 28, 2009.

Sky Garden Sculpture - Rainbow Water Falls

After I captured some snapshots around the SM Sky Garden, one of the things that caught my attention are the art sculptures displayed in its vicinity. When I am strolling the place I am trying to find the names or titles of the sculptures and the artist that created it but unfortunately there are no information that can be found or that can be read to each art sculpture display. So I checked the net to get those information and I am lucky and was able to find them easily.

The above sculpture was titled as "Rainbow Water Falls" and created by Joel E. Ferraris. I found his own blog and the link that refers to the SM Sky Garden scupltures that he created by himself.

Night Water Reflections At Sky Garden

This snapshot was captured last December 2009 while my best friend and I were having a good time in one of the cafe located there. I shot this while I am sitting in a chair and taking sometime to take another sip with my favorite iced caramel latte. This can be found beside the Starbucks at Sky Garden at SM City North Edsa.

A Glimpse Of Sky Garden From Afar

In Metro Manila, redesigning existing malls which combines nature seems the common theme to attract customers.

In Quezon City, the largest city in Metro Manila consist of prominent malls and one of them is SM City North Edsa which located in EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue) and North Avenue is one of the mall that followed the trend in new architectural design. They modified their parking area into amazing Sky Garden.
