The Boulders Before Mount Apo Summit - Scenic Sunday

Photos above were captured while descending the boulder part of Mount Apo. This was the part of the mountain where I experienced being scared to death for my life. After four hours of ascending and descending this part of the mountain. I was really thankful I survived. Conquering boulder challenge happened last Feb 26 and 27, 2009.

This looks like quite the adventure. I imagine it was difficult, but I bet that you had an amazing time too.

Looks like your comments are working :)

nice photos. I want to climb Mt. Apo too but I don't think I can make it to the summit.

Kerslyn, to be honest, even myself, I can't believe that I will conquer it successfully. There are lots of preparations we did before that climb. Long distance walking, mountain training climb (different mountain), wall climbing... what I love on mountaineering, appreciate the mountain itself. You have great photos in your blog, seems you're quite a great photographer...unlike me..I am just a rookie..c",)

What a courage for those four hour round trip trek. And I agree, conditioning and training is part of a successful adventure. Beautiful shots!

Ebie, thank you for dropping by in my blog. But even we did a preparation and conditioning...the boulders really rock us.

Dot, it was dangerous. I thought I cannot make it, but my gloves and the wall climbing really helped me (and of course the most powerful in the universe helped us too), my thought should not slipped away or else it will cost our life. Thanks again.

Will, I can say that its dangerous...c",) , my group always consider safety, so we took care of each other and helped each other in case a need. The whole group conquered the mountain successfully with safety. Thanks for visiting

I've been to the boulders too and oh boy, I was too scared I prayed to all the saints I knew. We ascended the area and I can only shudder at the thought of descending it...eeeeeeeek! Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable experience and to top that, monkeys were watching us while we were there. hahahaha!

Btw, my world is here

Seems we trekked the same area :D and I can really relate to the experience. I actually prayed to all the saints while we were ascending and the thought of descending that place is too shivering for me. The funny thing was while we were climbing, some monkeys stopped and observed us for awhile, probably thinking we were crazy to do it. Nevertheless, it was an unforgettable experience for me.
